Episode 8 - Season 1, Episode 8 "The Rescue"

We finally meet Captain Oats.

The Summer's over and it's time to go back to school. OR go to rehab. The kids hatch a terrible plan, Ryan skips out on an important test, and Marissa's parents continue to be terrible. On the upside, Luke again redeems himself.

Summer's step-mom dispatches her step-daughter to retrieve opiates and barbiturates from Mexico, Seth skips Comic-Con, the bros defend Hostess Ding Dongs and Marissa drinks to forget. In the B and C plots, Sandy get's a new job and Jimmy Cooper continues to be an absolute shitbag.

Episode 6 - Season 1, Episode 6 "The Girlfriend"

She may not be your guys' grandma, but she is an adult who probably shouldn't put sexual advances on teenagers.

Things get weird as we discuss hooking up with Hot Pseudo-Grandma-Adjace and how Ryan mysteriously sensed a disturbance in the force which was actually Luke and Marissa confirming their love for one another by making "the beast with two backs." Frankly I gross myself out. Anyway, Summer also kisses Seth and the bros wade through some technical difficulties to bring you our longest episode yet! BEST VALUE!

Episode 5 - Season 1, Episode 5 "The Outsider"

Whoops, "Scared Guy Luke" didn't see this one coming.

After taking a look at the top films and news stories from this week in 2003, we take a deep dive into this week's episode, which again has two meanings! Ryan gets a part-time job, has a date with Marissa,  and then someone gets shot. But we go to more crazy parties and eat beautiful grilled cheese sandwiches, so it's all good!

Shit really hits the fan as Alex is welcomed into the family with open arms while Tyler makes his debut into central Pennsylvania society. Unfortunately, Jon has been running a less-than-optimal Ponzi scheme and the whole party comes to a crushing halt. Speaking of crushes, the bros discuss who their "O.C." crushes are and it's purely coincidental that we met Anna this week.
